JOKE OF THE WEEK

A blonde walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. She says she is going to Europe on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5000.

The bank officers says the bank will need some kind of security for such a loan, so the blonde hands over the keys to a new Rolls Royce, parked on the street, in front of the bank.

Everything checks out, and the bank agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan. An employee drives the Rolls into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the blonde returns and repays the $5000, and the interest, which is $15.41.

The loan officer says, "We are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is why would you bother to borrow $5000?"

The blonde replied, "Where else in New York City can I park my car for 2 weeks for $15.00?

Spent the electric money gambling on the ponies at the merry-go-round again? (That pink horse was due, I tell you!) Don't shiver in the dark cursing when your service gets disconnected. Pay your bill through Western Unionóbut only pay a small fraction of what is due. If you owe $300, pay $10. Then call up your utility company and give them the payment confirmation number from Western Union. They'll turn the power back on. By the time they figure out your clever ruse, you'll have two more months of service.

ASK TINA

Q: submited by Jenny
I've recently gone on antidepressants, and my libido has flatlined. Is there anything I can do to get my sex drive back without going off my meds?
A:
Unfortunately, many antidepressants sabotage desire. However, they don't all cause sexual side effects. Your best bet is to talk to your doctor about possibly switching brands or readjusting your dosage. Everyone reacts differently to various medications; you might have to go through some trial and error before you and your physician hit on the right meds and the right amount. But just make sure you don't start experimenting without the consent of your doc. It's also possible that your lack of desire is due to another culprit, like stress, fatigue or even depression. The trick to figuring it out: when did your libido take a nosedive? If your less-then-lusty feelings began pretty soon after you started the antidepressants, then they're probably the culprit. If you think it's something else, try talking to your physician about your options. And remember: Sometimes all it takes to get back to normal is time.

STRANGE NEWS HEADLINES
Manila - A Philippines judge who allegedly claimed to have psychic powers and said he had made a covenant with "dwarf friends" has been removed from his post. Judge Florentino Floro, who presided in a suburban Manila court, allegedly said he was empowered with supernatural abilities, could read the future and conducted "healing sessions" in his chambers. "His mental problems for now appear to render him unfit with the delicate task of dispensing justice," the Supreme Court said in a ruling, stressing that Floro had not been found guilty of misconduct or corruption. Floro, who was said to start his court sessions with a reading from the bible's Book of Revelation, was relieved of his post on administrative grounds but not disbarred or charged with any criminal offence. "Psychic phenomena, even assuming such exist, have no place in a judiciary duty-bound to apply only positive law," the Supreme Court said.
