SENDtoREADER is a new webapp that instantly sends any web pages you're viewing to your Amazon Kindle ereader for future reference. The service works much like previously mentioned Chrome to Phone, and once you're registered you get a bookmarklet that you can click at any time to send the currently loaded page to your Kindle.
The tool is ideal for long posts that you'd rather read on an e-ink screen, or take with you when you leave the office.
SENDtoREADER also keeps track of all of the URLs you've sent to your Kindle through the app, and removes ads, polls and other distracting content so you can focus on the article and the embedded images. The developer behind SENDtoREADER also offers a Firefox extension that gives you the same features that the bookmarklet does, and is working on a Chrome and Safari add-on as well.
HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. -- The Henderson County Sheriff's Office said it seized dozens of venomous snakes and lizards from a home after serving a search warrant.
Deputies said the Animal Enforcement Division and agents with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission served a search warrant at 65 Doe Trail in Hendersonville on Friday.
Authorities said the search warrant was obtained after Walter Kidd was bitten by a snake and had to be airlifted to a hospital in Columbia on July 6.
Authorities said the hospital notified authorities about the suspicious injury, and that is when an investigation started.
Investigators said Kidd owned the 60 snakes and lizards that were found inside the home.
A preliminary inspection made by representatives of the North Carolina State Museum of Natural Sciences revealed the majority of snakes inside the home were venomous.
