JOKE OF THE WEEK

A young man was beloved by his mother and she wanted only the best for him. Fearing he would fall prey to the wiles of the fairer sex, she always warned him of the perils that awaited him if he gave himself over to their temptations: "They have teeth down there!" As nature would have it, he met a girl and they fell in love. They had a wonderful courtship and decided to marry. On their wedding night, the man carried his new bride over the threshold and into their honeymoon suite. After changing his clothes he kissed her, said, "Good night, my love" and turned to go into the other room. Shocked, the bride said, "Where are you going? Are you crazy? It is our wedding night. Don't you want to... you know?" Smiling at her he said, "Oh, Lord knows that I love you with all my heart. But... I am too afraid. I mean... you've... you've got teeth down there." Stunned, his wife says, "Teeth? Are you crazy? Come over here, I'll show you." And show him she did. "So", she asked, "do you see any teeth?" Furrowing his brow and slowly shaking his head, the new husband responded, "How the hell can you have teeth when your gums are so bad?"

TIPS AND TRICKS
Ten Ways To Be Happier At Work:

Tip #1: Choose to Be Happy at Work. Happiness is largely a choice. Dwell on the aspects of your work you like. Avoid negative people and gossip. Find coworkers you like and enjoy and spend your time with them. Your choices at work largely define your experience.

Tip #2: Do Something You Love Every Single Day. Take a look at yourself, your skills and interests, and find something that you can enjoy doing every day. If you do something you love every single day, your current job won't seem so bad.

Tip #3: Take Charge of Your Own Professional and Personal Development. You are the person with the most to gain from continuing to develop professionally. Take charge of your own growth; ask for specific and meaningful help from your boss, but march to the music of your personally developed plan and goals.

Tip #4:Take Responsibility for Knowing What Is Happening at Work. Seek out the information you need to work effectively. Develop an information network and use it. Assertively request a weekly meeting with your boss and ask questions to learn.

Tip #5:Ask for Feedback Frequently. Think about improving and making a sincere contribution. Then, ask your boss for feedback. Tell him you'd really like to hear his assessment of your work. Talk to your customers, too; if you're serving them well, their feedback is affirming.

Tip #6: Make Only Commitments You Can Keep. Create a system of organization and planning that enables you to assess your ability to complete a requested commitment. Don't volunteer if you don't have time.

Tip #7: Avoid Negativity. Choosing to be happy at work means avoiding negative conversations, gossip, and unhappy people as much as possible.

Tip #8: Practice Professional Courage. You likely think of conflict as scary, harmful, and hurtful, but sometimes it can help you serve customers and create successful products. Happy people accomplish their purpose for working.

Tip #9: Make Friends. Liking and enjoying your coworkers are hallmarks of a positive, happy work experience. Take time to get to know them. You might actually like and enjoy them. Your network provides support, resources, sharing, and caring.

Tip #10: If All Else Fails, Job Searching Will Make You Smile. If all of these ideas aren't making you happy at work, it's time to reevaluate your employer, your job, or your entire career. You can secretly smile while you spend all of your non-work time job searching.

Q:submitted by: Ricky

Cologne - Any advice on which one to pick? Is there a sexy one you like?

A:
A good rule of thumb is to pick something that smells fresh rather than potent. We like clean men :) Don't overdo it with the amount of cologne you use either. One little dab will be all you need. Personally, cologne doesn't do much for me. It fucks with my allergies and doesn't make me do much but start sniffing around like a bloodhound...haha. I quite literally prefer the smell of my husband's $5 Right Guard deodorant over any $100 bottle of Calvin Klein out there. And no, that's not the result of some bizarre armpit fetish :) To each her own though.

STRANGE NEWS HEADLINES
MURPHYSBORO, Ill. – Clad in Spiderman pajamas, a 5-year-old southern Illinois boy on a scooter had someplace to be. And he apparently wasn't going to let busy highways stand in his way. Authorities said Jackson County sheriff's deputies picked up the boy and his Razor-type scooter about 2 a.m. Wednesday along Old Illinois 13 in Murphysboro after fielding two 911 calls about the child's trek. Investigators said the boy reportedly left home without his parents' knowledge to visit a friend in Carbondale, about seven miles away. Deputies got to him about two miles into his journey, which involved traveling on two major highways. The boy was unharmed and returned to his grateful parents.
